Shipping Policy

DoubleTap Sports normally ships via Canada Post but can ship through Purolator, UPS or FedEx. If one of these methods is selected please note that extra fees may be incurred by the customer. We will attempt to provide you with an estimate for UPGRADED couriers, and a response with an approval is required before we proceed.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipping charges are added at the time the product is actually shipped and total weight is known. At NO time is the shipping included.

Standard Canada Post Insurance is $100. Should you require extra, please let us know at time of ordering. IF YOU DO NOT PURCHASE ADDITIONAL INSURANCE, WE CANNOT CLAIM MORE THAN $100 ON YOUR BEHALF, AND CANNOT REFUND YOU FOR YOUR LOST/NOT DELIVERED/DAMAGED ITEMS!

DoubleTap Sports Inc. is not responsible for errors in shipping, lost, missing, damaged or stolen packages and CANNOT guarantee delivery dates. This is the sole responsibility of Canada Post (or upgraded courier). We cannot control unforeseen events or errors once your package has left our facility.

It is essential that you verify all information is correct in your order prior to shipping. Address that are incorrect MAY be corrected by the Canada Post (or upgraded carrier), but is typically sent back to our facility. Address errors such as incorrect postal codes cannot be corrected once the item has left our facility. If the error results in items sent back to DoubleTap Sports Inc. due to incorrect input by a customer, they will incur additional shipping charges to ship items to the corrected
address.

Shipping Brass, Projectiles or Targets:

Brass and Projectiles can be shipped via Expedited or Xpresspost via Canada Post. It can also be shipped using a courier, or upgraded carrier. Due to the weight/size of these items, shipping can be expensive. If you would like a shipping quote prior to purchase or send, please contact us, or add it in the comments of your order, and we will provide you with a shipping quote prior to sending them item. If no request or note is made, a shipping cost will be added to your order, for which the customer is wholly responsible for. If several boxes/types/bundles are ordered, the order may be divided into two or more parcels, due to weight/size limitations as outlined by the shipping carriers. Additional shipping costs may apply.  If you would like to use a carrier besides Canada Post to ship, please contact us of add it the comments of your order. Brass and Projectile quantities are determined by weight from the manufacturer. Quantities listed on packaging, and on our website are approximate. 

Shipping Powder, Primers and Ammo:

We are unable to ship powder, primers or ammo through regular carriers at this time, and have the option for pick up only from our Mississauga location. We are able to ship via Canpar, however these items are subject to a “dangerous goods” fee. Please contact us for a shipping quote, or leave a comment in your order.  We are working on providing customers with estimates prior to order and will hopefully be able to provide you with this service in the near future.

Free Shipping Offers:

From time to time, we may offer Free Shipping with a minimum price order. This applies only to shipping WITHIN CANADA, and does not apply to shipping to the US, or International Orders.

For Firearms in Canada:

    Firearms license number (PAL/RPAL)
    Expiry date
    Full address and telephone number

Orders outside of Ontario also require home range information, including the range name, address and phone number. Please be aware that out of province orders may take additional time to complete transfer of restricted firearms, prior to shipping.

Shipping Errors

DoubleTap Sports strives to be error free but sometimes accidents do happen. If it does, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to remedy the situation. The item returned must be unused and still in the original packaging or extra fees may be incurred.

If there is an error in shipment such as the incorrect product being shipped, please contact us immediately by telephone, letter or email. We will reship the correct product at no additional charge to you, if we have made the error. Should the product not be returned new, unused and in the original packaging charges will be incurred. For items sent back to us, or sent to the wrong address due to customer or Canada Post (or upgraded carrier) error will be re-shipped at customer's expense. We provide customers with a Canada Post (or upgraded carrier) tracking number and expect packages to be delivered in a timely manner. We do our best to ensure speedy delivery, but are not responsible for errors in shipping, lost, missing, damaged or stolen packages and CANNOT guarantee delivery dates. This is the sole responsibility of Canada Post (or upgraded courier) and while rare, shipping issues do occur.  We cannot control unforeseen events or errors once your package has left our facility. DoubleTap Sports cannot provide you an immediate refund for lost, missing or damaged items. We will create a service ticket, and monitor the situation on your behalf, as the sender, and do our best to keep you informed. This time frame is determined by the carrier, not by DoubleTap Sports Inc. We must wait until the conclusion of the investigation to determine what, if any refund is applicable, particularly in cases where additional insurance was not purchased.

International Shipping

We reserve the right to correct shipping methods and costs for what is appropriate to your order and destination. We are not responsible for issues with customs in the destination country, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the order is not subject to legal restrictions and is solely their responsibility to communicate with local customs agencies, and incur any fees or duty.
