Almost all factory takedown levers (SIG, CZ, Smith and Wesson M&P etc) sit flush with the left side of the frame and they do offer at least some thumb support which reduces the recoil. For whatever strange reason, the stock takedown lever on Q5 SF is very thin and actually curves UNDER the frame at the bottom – providing almost no support for your thumb.

Drawing from experience while developing 4 different SPORT takedown levers for SIG pistols, AC is proud to introduce the SPORT Takedown Lever for Walther Q5 SF which is ergonomically vastly superior to the factory and offers much better thumb support which helps to mitigate the recoil. One interesting fact to consider is that all these improvements are achieved while keeping the new TDL aesthetically pleasing and keeping it looking almost stock.

HOLSTERS FITMENT QUESTIONS:

To answer the question how this takedown lever will fit ‘YOUR HOLSTER’ is not possible by us. There are dozens of holster manufacturers with a VERY large variety of holsters out there. While some holsters will not require ANY modifications, other holsters may require some. Most likely the modification should be minimal and easy to perform.
